Shad Gregory Moss (родился 9 марта, 1987), больше известен под именем Bow Wow(ранее Lil’ Bow Wow), американский рэпер, актёр и музыкальный продюссер. sic producer. Свой первый альбом Beware of Dog выпустил когда ему было 13.
Bow Wow – это принц хип-хопа нового тысячелетия. В своём штате он известен местным жителям за считку 16-ти последовательных тактов чистой рифмы, отчётливее и быстрее, чем рэпперы из старой и новой школы. В свои молодые годы, Lil Bow Wow уже был ветераном в рэп игре. В возрасте 6 лет юный рэппер в первый раз появился на сцене, на «Chronic Tour». Его талант заметил рэппер Snoop Dogg, после чего он позвал Lil Bow Wow в свою гримёрную и нанял для объявления открытия тура.
После этого Lil Bow Wow записал композицию под названием «Bow Wow (That’s My Name)» со Снуп Догом, а также саундтрек для «Big Momma House» при помощи Jermaine Dupri. Благодаря синглу «Bounce With Me» он попал в Книгу рекордов Гиннеса как самый молодой рэппер, занявший первое место в американском хит-параде.
JD считает его таким же одаренным, как и его первое подростковое открытие, дуэт под названием Kris Kross. И поэтому Dupri ожидал большой успех от альбома «Beware Of Dog», дебютного альбома Lil Bow Wow. Этот альбом был записан на «So So Def/Columbia Records» совместно с такими персонажами как, Dupri, Da Brat, и многими другими. Dupri и Da Brat писали для Маленького Гав Гав (это так на русский язык переводиться Lil Bow Wow) лирику свободную от политики и прочей грязи с улицы.
И Bow Wow готов занять этот трон. Со своими кукурузными рядами на голове (corn rows - это такая причёска, когда волосы на голове заплетаются в косички параллельно по всей голове) вместо короны и платиновым Мики Маусом на шее (это подарок Dupri). Хиты с Beware Of Dog не переставали играть на радиостанциях и музыкальных каналах, а его лицо не сходило со страниц глянцевых журналов.
В 2002 вышел второй альбом уже подросшего Lil Bow Wow – Doggy Bag, в который вошли ставшие достаточно знаменитыми песни «Thank You» и «Take Ya Home». 2003 год стал годом перемен. Bow Wow отбросил частичку «Lil» («маленький») от своего имени и ушел с So So Def, испортив отношения с Jermaine Dupri и его сопродюсером Майклом Коксом. В этом же году он записывает третий по счету альбом «Unleashed», который, несмотря на успешный сингл «Lets Get Down», провалился с коммерческой точки зрения. Из-за этого многие слушатели заключили, что время Bow Wow прошло, и он оказался еще одним ребенком, добившимся успеха, и, потерявшим его, повзрослев.
Но в июле 2005 Bow вернулся и ударил по чартам новым, более зрелым альбомом Wanted. Хитами, в полном смысле этого слова, стали песни: «Let Me Hold You», которую он записал со своим другом Омарионом, «Like You» с Сиарой (с которой он официально встречался в течение года) и «Fresh Azimiz». Тем не менее, даже после этого не переставали ходить слухи об уходе Bow Wow из рэп-игры. Но он показал всем, что к чему, когда первый сингл с нового альбома The Price Of Fame – «Shortie Like Mine» взлетел в хит-параде Billboard еще до дня его официального выпуска.
