Glassjaw - Биография

Glassjaw - это пост-хардкор команда из Нью-Йорка, основанная в 1993 году. Ее основателями стали вокалист Дэрил Паламбо (Daryl Palumbo) и гитарист Джастин Бек (Justin Beck). Они играли вместе еще с детства. В годы формирования к группе присоединились также гитарист Тодд Вайнсток (Todd N. Weinstock), басист Мануэль Карреро (Manuel Carrero) и барабанщик Сэмми Сиглер (Sammy Siegler), и таким составом они записали свой дебютный альбом Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence. Во время летнего тура с Deftones Сиглера сменил Ларри Горман (Larry Gorman). На место Карреро, покинувшего группу по завершении турне в поддержку альбома, впоследствии пришел Дэйв Аллен (Dave Allen).
Два года спустя Glassjaw подписали контракт с Warner Bros. и выпустили свой Worship and Tribute в июле 2002-го. Очередные изменения в составе произошли в конце 2004 г., когда группу в силу различных обстоятельств покинули Вайнсток, Горман и Аллен: Вайнсток сосредоточился на своем сайд-проекте Men Women & Children, а Горман присоединился к другой группе Паламбо - Head Automatica. В это же время начали ходить слухи о распаде Glassjaw. Однако в скором времени в коллектив вернулся Мануэль Карреро, а место барабанщика занял Дьюрайджа Лэнг (Durijah Lang). Первые шоу после двухлетнего молчания прошли летом 2005 г.
В декабре 2006-го группа отправилась в небольшой, но успешный тур по США. Седьмого июля 2007 г. Glassjaw дали концерт перед пятитысячной аудиторией на легендарной площадке Brixton Academy в Лондоне. В настоящее время группа заканчивает работу над своим третьим альбомом.
