Holy Mother - Биография

Holy Mother это Нью Йоркский квартет, сформированный в 1994 году вокалистом Mike Tirelli (ex-Jack Srarr's Burning Star, Stryder). В первоначальный состав группы входили: гитарист - Spike Frensis, бас-гитарист - Randy Coven (ex-Leslie West), ударник - Jim Harris (ex-Jack Srarr's Burning Star). В 1995 году группа записывает дебютный одноимённый альбом "Holy Mother" который издаётся на лейбле Cream.

После дебютного альбома Holy Mother группа неожиданно переименовывается в N.O.W. Скопировано с Dark-World.ru. и выпускает в 1996 году альбом "Tabloid Crush" по звучанию напоминавший работы Guns N' Roses. Затем группа вновь меняет название на прежнее.

В 1998 году к группе присоединяется гитарист Rich Nas после чего Holy Mother выдают третий альбом в стиле традиционного heavy metal который получает название "Toxic Rain", альбом издан на подразделении Noise/ABS.

Спустя год, в феврале 1999 года на ABS выходит четвёртый альбом "Criminal Afterlife" который содержит 11 песен и кавер на песню Dio "Holy Diver". Альбом характеризовался критикой как power metal 90-х. Вокал Mike Tirelli сравнивали с Ronnie James Dio. Отмечались скорость, мелодизм и неглупая лирика.

Следующий альбом, "My World War", выходит в 2000 году на лейбле Shark уже с гитаристом Jon Bivona. Альбом получает высокие оценки критики (в частности в журнале Rock Hard). Позже в 2002 году лебл Rusty Diamonds издаёт компиляцию "Dealin' With the Devil" состоящую из песен предыдущих альбомов а так же из демо записей отобранных главным образом из работ 1995-2000 годов.

12 августа 2003 года на лейбле Steamhammer Records состоялся релиз последнего на сегодняшний день альбома "Agoraphobia". В создании альбома принимали участие Mike Tirelli - вокал, гитара, Randy Coven - бас-гитара и Frank Gilchriest - ударные.
