Mojave 3 - Биография

Mojave 3 - британская группа, в состав которой входят Нил Халстед, Рэйчел Госуэлл, Саймон Роу, Алан Форрестер и Йен Маккачен. Халстед, Госуэлл и Маккачен до этого играли в небезызвестной шугейз-группе Slowdive.
Вначале в группе было трое человек: вышеупомянутые Халстед, Госуэлл и Маккачен. Когда Slowdive выгнали с Creation Records, трио решило поменять свой стиль на кантри/фолк/дрим-поп, и подписалось на 4AD Records. Они назвались просто Mojave, но когда обнаружилось, что группа с таким названием уже существует, добавили к названию 3 - что соответствовало тогдашнему числу участников группы. Роу (бывший участник другой шугейз-группы Chapterhouse) и Форрестер присоединились вскоре после выхода первого альбома Mojave 3. В 2006 году они поучаствовали в Take-Away Show французского режиссёра Венсана Муна.
И Халстед (основной автор песен для группы), и Госуэлл записывали сольные альбомы; все они вышли на 4AD, кроме последнего альбома Халстеда. Маккачен является основателем и членом группы The Loose Salute, которая подписана на Heavenly Records.
Согласно Халстеду, Mojave 3 с 2008 года не играют, но в будущем планируют выпустить хотя бы ещё один альбом.
