Wrapped in darkness, I am one with the night.

Their choir enchants me as I am being lifted.
High on the bloodstained wings - they guide me.
The earth and sky is no longer any limit.

I see witches burn and warriors with blood on their steel.
Plague and ashes.
I see kingdoms rise - built on flesh - so weak.
It is beyond this that my quest ends.

Obtained Enslavement был сформирован в 1989 в составе: Pest - вокал, бас-гитара; Dоden - гитара и Torquemada - ударные. В середине 1999 года началась запись нового материала в Soundsuite Studio (Tristania, Tsotb), и 24 января 2000 года увидел свет четвёртый и последний полноформатный альбом коллектива, озаглавленный The Shepherd and the Hounds of Hell, посредством лейбла Napalm Records. Первоначально выпуск его намечался на декабрь. Вскоре после релиза было принято решение распустить Obtained Enslavement, поскольку Pest отправился в США, а поиски нового вокалиста так и не увенчались успехом.
