Svartahrid - Биография

Блэк-метал группа Svartahrid была основана в 1994 году Istar’ом и Forn’ом. В 1996 году к группе присоединяются два новых участника: Bjoern (синтезатор) и Ilvastat (бас-гитара).

В 1998 группа записывает своё первое демо Herskende I Blod в Akkerhaugen Lydstudio, которое включает в себя две песни Forthcoming Storm и Herskende I Blod. После его выпуска Napalm records предлагают им контракт.

В январе 1999 они выпускают свой первый полноформатный альбом Forthcoming Storm. Вскоре после этого Bjoern покидает группу, которая продолжает своё существование в качестве трио.

В августе 2000 следует второй полноформатный альбом As The Sunrise Flickers, но состав группа опять претерпевает изменения. Место басиста теперь занимает Frank Iberg.

В 2003 году Svartahrid записывают свой третий альбом Sadness And Wrath, который был издан Soulseller Records только в 2007 году. В этом же году Frank Iberg оставляет группу, и в 2004 ему находят замену в лице - Nidgrim’а. В январе 2008 группа записывает четвертый полноформатный альбом Malicious Pride (который был издан в июне 2008).

В октябре 2009 года Nidgrim оставляет группу, а в 2010 Frank (который сыграл на третем альбоме Sadness and wrath) возвращается в группу в качестве басиста. В мае 2010 года вышел пятый студийный альбом группы - Ex Inferi на Soulseller Records.
