Tonic - номинированная на Грэмми американская пост-гранж рок-группа, сформированная в 1993 году Эмерсоном Хартом, Джефом Руссо, Дэном Ротчайлдом и Кевином Шепардом. В 1995 году подписала контракт с Polydor Records.
В 1996 году группа выпустила дебютный альбом «Lemon Parade». Синглы песен «Open Up Your Eyes» и «If You Could Only See» были выпущены в 1996 году и 1997. «If You Could Only See» известна как самая популярная песня 1997 года на Rock Radio. В этом же году группа записала песню к саундтреку фильма «Крик 2».
В декабре 1996 басиста Ротчайлда заменил Дэн Лаври. Вместе с ним группа выпустила EP «Live and Enhanced». Также в 1998 записаны песни к саундтреку «Секретных материалов» и концертная версия «Open Up Your Eyes» для благотворительного альбома Live in the X Lounge.
В 1999 году группа выпустила альбом «Sugar». Песни «Knock Down Walls» и «You Wanted More» вошли в саундтрек к фильму «Американский пирог».
В 2002 группа вернулась вместе с новым альбомом «Head on Straight» и синглом «Take Me as I Am». В 2003 получила 2 номинации Грэмми - Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal for «Take Me As I Am» и Best Rock Album.
