At the top of the mountain

I saw him cast a spell

invoking the daimons with his ancient bell.

He grabbes his rod and threw it into the sky,

and denied the existence of the father of lies.

The angels cried in endless mourn, through the

night and til the dawn.

I watched their wings grown old, as the ground

turned to solid gold.

I slept all day under the three, that holds the

infernal key. The key of all wisdom, the key to the

long-lost kingdom.

And as the dusk fell over the mighty mountains,

He revealed the secrets of the ancient gods.

Their names, their seals, their powers, their marks.

And opened the gate to the darkest of paths.

Abyssos - Биография

Создана группа Abyssos была силами Криса, Андреаса и Даниэля в январе 1996-го в шведском городе Сундсвалль. Все музыканты группы играли с начала 90-х в различных дэз- и блэк-формациях, таких как Kenotaphion, Sombre, Hekate, Sargoth, Insalubrious, Unchained 2000 и многих других.

Уже через месяц они записали первую демку, Wherever the Whitches Might Fly, в Hedberska Studios. Демка зарелизена в сентябре и содержит три трека атмосферного, мелодичного и очень быстрого металла. Запись понравилась целой куче лейблов - треки попадают в ротацию на радио, фэнзины выдвигают творение группы на титул шведское демо года. Вскоре после релиза группа подписывается на культовый лондонский лейбл Cacophonous.

В мае 1997-го проходила запись в английской Academy Studios (Йоркшир, Англия) дебютного альбома Together We Summon the Dark, в который вошли девять треков. Релиз альбома состоялся в октябре 1997 года. В ноябре 1998 года Rehn и Soderlund вернулись к берегам Великобритании, чтобы записать второй полноформатник Fhinsthanian Nightbreed. Альбом включил в себя 9 треков в лучших традициях Emperor и Dimmu Borgir. В 2003 году группа прекратила свою творческую деятельность.
