Blackfield - Биография

- это проект лидера Стивена Уилсона и израильского музыканта Авива Геффена. Всё началось с того, что в 2000 году Геффен, большой поклонник Уилсона и Porcupine Tree, пригласил последних выступить в Израиле. После этого между музыкантами завязалась дружба, и они решили попробовать поиграть музыку вместе. Изначально планировавшийся как ЕР, одноимённый альбом группы вышел в 2001 году. Он содержал как свежий материал, так и две старые песни Геффена(Scars и Cloudy Now), а также песню Porcupine Tree «Feel So Low». Альбом получился очень удачным. Вот что говорит Уилсон о альбоме: «»
В 2007 году вышел новый альбом группы, получивший незатейливое название «Blackfield II». Настроение альбома печально - тон задают фортепианные пассажи и мрачный вокал Уилсона и Геффена. Ключевые песни - Once, Miss U, Epidemic, End of the World.
