Dance Hall Crashers - Биография

В 1989 году в Калифорнии Tim Armstrong и Matt Freeman, развалив культовый ска-панк проект Operation, Ivy создали новую группу Dance Hall Crashers. Но что-то у них не доклеилось в результате они сотворили другую группу - Rancid - в которой счастливы и по сей день. Однако других участников проекта это ничуть не смутило и певица Elysee Rogers, еще одна певица Каппа Denike и гитарист Jason Hammon не стали уничтожать Dance Hall Crashers в зародыше. В 1991 году издано их первое поп-панк-ска произведение, после чего последовал двухлетний режим полного молчания. Точнее - группы просто не существовало.

К середине девяностых при подходе новых людей (Joel Wing-бас (его быстро сменил Mikey Weiss), Jason Bermark -саксофон, клавиши Gavin Hammon, барабаны, Scott Goodell - гитара) группа обрела второе дыхание. Постепенно набирая обороты, Dance Hall Crashers стали одним из самых впечатляющих ска-панк-проектов современной Америки, а сдвоенный девичий вокал делает их уникумами, даже на фоне коммерческих прорывов No Doubt.
