Good Riddance - Биография

Good Riddance (или GR) это мелодик хардкор группа из Санта Круз, Калифорния. Возглавляемый вокалистом Рассом Ранкином, долговременный состав группы включал гитариста Люка Пабича, басиста Чака Плэтта, и барабанщика Сина «ЭсСи» Селлерса. На их звук повлияла панк хардкор сцена и группа была известна за их комбинирование быстрого панка и заразительных мелодий. Темы песен варьировались от политических протестов и критических анализов американского общества до персональной борьбы и отчужденности.
Пабич и Ранкин раньше были так же участниками State Of Grace, до выпуска альбома Decoy в 1994 г. Все участники играют в сторонних проектах: Пабич и Селлерс в Outlie, Плэтт в I Want Out, и Ранкин в Only Crime.
Каждый участник группы или веган, или вегетарианец. Группа также является сторонницей Людей за Этическое Обращение с Животными и Зеленой Партии Соединенных Штатов.
3-го апреля 2007 г., они объявили о своем распаде, и сыграли свое последнее шоу 27-го мая в своем родном городе Санта Круз, Калифорния в The Catalyst.
В феврале 2012 года на официальном сайте группы, а также на сайте лейбла Fat Wreck Chords появилась информация о воссоединении группы. Музыканты пока не решили, будут ли они записывать новый материал, но уже анонсированы даты новых шоу.
