Jim Reeves - Биография

Джим Ривз (англ. James Travis Reeves; 20 августа 1923 — 31 июля 1964) — американский исполнитель в жанрах кантри, поп, автор песен, музыкант. Лидировал в чартах в 1950−60-х годах. 31 июля 1964 года трагически погиб: управляя небольшим самолётом, Ривз попал в грозовой фронт, потерял ориентацию в пространстве и потерпел крушение. Вместе с ним погиб его менеджер. Их тела нашли лишь спустя несколько дней − 5 августа.

Глубокий мягкий голос, импозантная внешность и мелодичные, приятные на слух баллады сделали его любимцем публики не только в Америке и Европе, но и в Африке, Юго- Восточной Азии и Индии, где его называли "Джентльмен Джим" и "Король Джим".
