Knife Party - Биография

Конец первого десятилетия XXI века в электронной музыке обнаружил заметный тренд – многие популярные музыканты стартовали сайд-проекты на волне хайпа жёсткого электрохауса и так называемой bass-музыки: бростепа, мумбатона и драмстепа. Среднего темпа музыка с ярко выраженной басовой линией нашла свою массовую аудиторию. Одним из самых заметных «перевоплощений» стало альтер-эго культовой drum & bass группы Pendulum.
Knife Party начал свою жизнь летом 2011 года. Продюсеры Pendulum Гарет МакГриллен и Роб Свайр сообщили о новом проекте, который был представлен на Ибице диджей-сетом. Выступление оказалось успешным: завершив летний тур Pendulum, Роб и Гарет на время решили «завязать» c драм-энд-бэйсом, интерес к которому у публики несколько спал. Первый релиз Knife Party – ремикс на Swedish House Mafia «Save The World» увидел свет уже в июле.
