Marcy Playground - Биография

Группа «Marcy Playground» была сформирована в середине 90-х в Нью Йорке. В состав команды вошли: Джон Уозняк (вокал, гитара, автор песен), Дилан Киф (бас-гитара) и Дэн Ризер (барабаны).
Имя группы было позаимствовано от названия школы «Marcy Open School», в которой обучался, до конца семидесятых, будующий вокалист группы Джон Уозняк.
Заключив контракт с лейблом «Capitol Records», трио выпускает свой дебютный альбом «Marcy Playground» в феврале 1997 года. Несколько месяцев спустя с момента выхода альбома, сингл группы «Sex and Candy» начинает ротироваться многими радиостанциями в следствии, чего альбом группы попадает в чарты США и получает платиновый статус.
Позднее коллектив «Marcy Playground» приступил к записи своего очередного альбома «Shapeshifter». Альбом был выпущен спустя два года, с момента их многообещающего дебюта.
