Matt Pond PA - Биография

Matt Pond PA - американская инди группа, изначально родом из Филадельфии, Пенсильвании, сегодня же из Нью-Йорка. Основателями группы, кроме Мэта Понда (Matt Pond), были гитарист и бассист Джош Крамер (Josh Kramer), скрипачка Рози МакНамара-Джонс (Rosie McNamara-Jones), виолончелист Джим Хостетер (Jim Hostetter) и барабанщик Шон Бирне (Sean Byrne). «PA» в названии группы - это сокращение американского штата Пенсильвания (Pennsylvania), откуда группа происходила.
Matt Pond PA уже выступали с такими группами, как Ted Leo and the Pharmacists, Nickel Creek, Youth Group, Mae, Keane, Guster, Dios Malos и Liz Phair. Музыка этой группы была так же саундтреком к телевизионному сериалу канала FOX The OC. Знаменитыми стали их исполнения Champagne Supernova (Oasis) и In the Aeroplane Over the Sea (Neutral Milk Hotel) для специальных альбомов.
