Nokturnal Mortum - Биография
В 1995 году в в г.Харьков группа Nocturnal Mortum сменила имя на Nokturnal Mortum (отныне с «K»). В конце 1995 - начале 1996 года было записано легендарное демо «Lunar Poetry». Весной 1996 года MC было выпущено на Metal Agen Records (Россия). Вскоре Wortherax покинул группу, и ему на смену пришли Karpath и Saturious (второй клавишник). Летом 1996 года был записан второй альбом, «Goat Horns» (MetalAgen выпустил MC весной 1997 года). В декабре 1996 года был записан «Return Of The Vampire Lord», который включал в себя новую заглавную песню и две песни «Crystaline Darkness» («Mi Agama Khaz Mifisto» и «Crystaline Darkness»). Этот мини-альбом вышел в 1997 году на Metal Agen Records как сплит-MC с Lucifugum «Path Of Wolf», однако затем группа прервала свои отношения с лейблом из-за его некорректной политики. В 1996 году Nokturnal Mortum вместе с Lucifugum также записали совместный альбом «Вече» (MC было издано в 1998 году на Oriana Production).
В 1997 году Nokturnal Mortum записали альбом «To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire», а также мини-альбом «Marble Moon», куда кроме всего прочего вошли украинская народная песня «Ластівка» («Через Рiчку, Через Гай») и «Гімн». В это же время группа подписывает контракт с The End Records (США), который предложил выгодные условия и решил издать на CD все альбомы Nokturnal Mortum. Первым релизом стал «Goat Horns», вышедший 31 марта 1998 года. Новый альбом, «To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire», вышел 1 марта 1999 на The End/Nuclear Blast (который получил лицензию на издание альбомов Nokturnal Mortum в Европе и уже выпустил «Goat Horns»). Тем временем, в конце 1998 года, лейбл Oriana издал на MC «Goat Horns» (с новой обложкой) и «To The Gates Of Blasphemous Fire».
В январе 1999 года из группы ушел гитарист Karpath. С 26 февраля по 9 мая прошла запись нового альбома «Нехристь». Осенью 1999 года Oriana Production издал на MC «Нехристь» и «Lunar Poetry». Весной 2000 года Munruthel и Saturious покинули Nokturnal Mortum. Диск «Нехристь» был издан 4 июля 2000 года на The End Records и Last Episode - для Европы. Istukan, а после него и Khaoth, были задействованы в качестве сессионных барабанщиков, однако осенью в Nokturnal Mortum вернулся Munruthel. Кроме того, в группу пришел новый гитарист Vrolok (участник Runes Of Dianceht). В конце 2000 года Saturious вернулся в Nokturnal Mortum.
В начале 2001 года Oriana Production издал на MC «Return Of The Vampire Lord / Marble Moon». После записи «Нехристь» деятельность Nokturnal Mortum была приостановлена. В течение этого времени участники Nokturnal Mortum занимались своими собственными проектами: Mistigo Varggoth Darkestra - Князь Varggoth, Munruthel (старое название - Silentium) - Munruthel и Finist - Saturious и Munruthel. Также Князь Varggoth, Munruthel и Saturious являются участниками польской группы Piorun. В течение этого периода Nokturnal Mortum записал 3 песни: «Thurisaz» (кавер-версия Graveland), «My Journey to the Stars» Burzum’а (вышла на CD «Tribute to Burzum» в 2003 на лейбле Unholy Records) и «As the Steel Eagle Into Golden Svarga», которая вошла в сборник «The Night and The Fog, Part II» (Totenkopf Propaganda).
Зимой-весной 2002 года Nokturnal Mortum возобновили свою концертную деятельность. Xaarquath ушел из группы, и Vrolok перешел на бас- гитару.
И, наконец, спустя несколько лет, Nokturnal Mortum записывает свой долгожданный новый материал. Для этого был привлечен сессионный скрипач, и в качестве гитариста был взят Alzeth. Записываемый материал планировался войти в следующих 5 различных издания: два новых полноформатных альбома «Weltanschauung» и «Мировоззрение». Пятым изданием был сборник «Eleven Years Аmong the Sheep», посвященный 11-ой годовщине деятельности группы (начиная с «Supporation» и «Crystaline Darkness») , который был издан лейблом Unholy Records в 2004 году.
В декабре 2003 был с позором изгнан Munruthel, и его место занял Odalv.
В течение 2004 Nokturnal Mortum обогатили свою дискографию. Собственный лейбл Князя Varggoth, Oriana Music, издал диски «The Taste of Victory», «Return of the Vampire Lord» и «Twilightfall». Также были переизданы с дополнительными бонус-треками «Нехристь», «To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire», «Goat Horns» и «Lunar Poetry». Первый двойной винил Nokturnal Mortum «Нехристь» с добавочными треками был издан на Ledo Takas Records. Три винила, «Lunar Poetry», «To the Gates of Blasphemous Fire» и «Goat Horns», вышли при поддержке No Colours Records.
В 2005 в двух версиях вышел новый альбом. Англоязычная версия была издана No Colours под названием «Weltanschauung», а русско-украиноязычная -«Мировоззрение» - на Oriana Music. В конце 2009 года Nokturnal Mortum выпустили альбом «The Voice Of Steel».
В феврале 2011 года группу покидает Vrolok, и начинается поиск замены. Цитируя Князя Varggoth’а от 14 февраля:Я официально заявляю, никаких конфликтов в группе нет, и уход Vrolok - это его личная инициатива, о которой он сам, если захочет, расскажет. Безусловно, Vrolok очень много внес в НМ, и сомнения здесь излишни. Мы с Vrolok были и остаемся хорошими друзьями и желаем ему удачи в начинаниях. DVD планируем на весну - начало лета. Работа над «Истиной» уже ведется, хотим к концу года закончить, но это не окончательная дата. Мы ради нового альбома на полгода заморозили концертную деятельность.
8 ноября 2011 года от группы поступает заявление, что Astargh больше не является участником Nokturnal Mortum.
