Souls Of Mischief - группа из 4-х человек, с нетипичным для Западного побережья звучанием, из Oakland, штат California. Они также являются частью коллектива Hieroglyphics. Группа сформировалась в 1993 году и состоит из рэпперов A-Plus, Opio, Phesto и Tajai.

Уроженец Оклэнда Tajai начал рэповать с будущим напарником по коллективу A-Plus’ом ещё в возрасте 8-ми лет, в то время они учились в начальной школе. Tajai и Phesto познакомились позже, в старших классах. И наконец, Tajai представил A-Plus’а и Phesto последнему участнику Souls Of Mischief, Opio. Таким образом, группа была сформирована ещё задолго до своего дебютного альбома 1993 года под названием «93 ‘Til Infinity», который вышел на Jive Records и получил массу положительных отзывов.

Дебютный альбом попал в несколько музыкальных чартов. Например в Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums он занял 17-е место, а в Billboard 200 - 85-е. Кроме того, в январе 1998 года его включили в сотню лучших альбомов по версии журнала The Source.

В 1995 году группа выпускает второй альбом - «No Man’s Land», после чего, в этом же году, они покидают Jive Records.

В том же 95-ом, группа собирает хип-хоп коллектив Hieroglyphics, в который помимо них вошли рэпперы Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Casual, Pep Love, JayBiz и продюссер Domino. В полном составе их можно услышать на двух альбомах данного коллектива: «3rd Eye Vision» (1998) и «Full Circle» (2003).

Souls Of Mischief выпустили ещё два альбома на новом лэйбле Hieroglyphics Imperium Recordings: «Focus» (1999) и «Trilogy: Conflict, Climax, Resolution» (2000).

Как заявил в одном из своих интервью Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, в последнее время Souls Of Mischief работают над записью нового альбома вместе с Prince Paul’ом.
