The Word Alive - Биография

Группа образована в городе Феникс, штат Аризона, США в марте 2006 года. Первоначальное название - Calling of Syrens. После прихода в группу Крейга Маббита (Craig Mabbitt), экс-вокалиста blessthefall, коллектив изменяет название на The Word Alive. Ввиду плотного графика концертов в Escape the Fate, куда Крейг был взят вокалистом на замену Ронни Радке, который сейчас находится в тюрьме, The Word Alive решили заменить своего вокалиста. В блоге на MySpace The Word Alive объявили об обновлении состава группы - новом вокалисте, слухи о котором сразу же заполнили сеть. Им оказался бывший участник Greeley Estates, Emarosa и In Fear and Faith - Тайлер «Telle» Смит. На MySpace сразу же была выложена новая песня «How to Build an Empire» с Telle на вокале. Официально Тайлер присоединился к группе 3 декабря 2008 года.

Крейг после своего «увольнения» из The Word Alive выложил на своей странице MySpace две ещё не анонсированные песни с будущей ЕР - Can’t Let Up и I’m Sorry.

В марте 2009 The Word Alive приступили к записи новых песен, и 21 июля 2009 выпустили EP «Empire». В EP не вошли песни с вокалом Крейга. Из старых песен The Word Alive перезаписали только «Casanova Rodeo».

Летом 2010 вышел альбом The Deceiver.
