Webbie (Уэбстер Градни) родился 6 сентября 1985 года в Батон-Руже. Начал заниматься хип-хопом в 2005 году с песни "Give Me That Pussy", записанной совместно с U.G.K. А песня "Bad Bitch" звучала в 2005 году в фильме "Hustle & Flow".
Его мать, Jocelyn, умерла от рака 11 августа 1998 года. Он остался с отцом и бабушкой. Gradney начал увлекаться репом в возрасте 5 лет. В 15 лет он уже записывался на лейбле "Trill Entertainment". Он часто выступает с ребятами из своего района и в том числе с Lil Boosie.
Несмотря на свою характеристику - спокойной страны - Батон-Руже, штат Луизиана, занимал второе место по количеству убийств в стране.
Заинтересовавшись музыкой, он начал слушать все подряд: Geto Boys, 2Pac, Eazy E., Snoop Dogg, 8Ball & M.J.G., U.G.K., и Scarface.
В 20 лет Webbie переехал в дом поблизости с инди лейблом Trill Entertainment.
После записи подпольного альбома, на радио стали крутить его композиции "Gimme That Pussy" и "Bad Bitch". Lil' Boosie и Webbie становятся объектом внимания многочисленных крупных лейблов. И вскоре они подписывают контракт с Warner Music Group. Дебютный альбом Webbie под названием "Savage Life" вышел 4 июля 2005 года.
