Citizens - Marry Christmas

〈Verse 1〉
I see the writing on the wall
We've been through all of this before
Longer lists and grander gifts
Brighter lights, entitled kids
Well, if you love it so much then why don't you marry Christmas?
Why don't you marry Christmas?

〈Verse 2〉
The happy feelings that we had
Are they just boxed up in the past?
Buying more, we can't afford
The pressure's high, but what's it for?
Well, if you love it so much then why don't you marry Christmas?
Then why don't you marry Christmas?

〈Bridge〉
I can't promise snow flakes all around
I can't give you presents that won't ever let you down
Let's not spend another Christmas, searching for the magic
It's always been insidе of us, yeah, we already havе it
Buying more, we can't afford, the pressure's high, but what's it for?
Longer lists and grander gifts, brighter lights, entitled kids
Well, if you love it so much, if you love it so much
If you love it so much, well then, why don't you marry Christmas?
Why don't you marry Christmas?

〈Outro〉
Marry Christmas?
Marry Christmas?
Marry Christmas?
Why don't you marry Christmas?
