Erick Mars - Biography
At the age of 16, Erick Mars soon grew his passion for music. The consistent exposure of The Beatles had an influence on him. Paul McCartney’s bass notes to John Lennon singing made it clear that was what Erick wanted to do. Erick soon studied music and broke down what each line and pattern that was made of on each of their songs. At the age of 17, Erick was closer to crafting his own form of style. John Mayer is another influence to Erick as he searched for a sound and a tone to mark his fingerprint on each song. It wasn’t until Erick heard George Harrison playing While My Guitar Gently Weeps – Remastered 2009 that made Erick pick up a broken guitar and use a hammer to form the guitar into tone. Erick Mars spent the rest of the year learning guitar and at the age of 19, 499 Erick’s first album, was crafted. No single and no start up. Erick launched 10 songs right out of the gate ranking Erick 45K streams alone. Erick soon remastered for a total of 82K streams. He soon released small projects for example Night Drive EP and Pink transitioning to The Erick Mars album for a total of 63K streams, which followed Erick’s 3rd album Everyday Chemistry with a total of 43K streams, sending his new single Cold to a Spotify playlist for 122K streams. Erick was inspired by Russ to write, mix, master, produce, engineer, market and self publish his own songs.
