〈intro〉
Yeah, ayy

〈verse 1〉
Lets hit the wegmans on the way, i probably smoke a bit
Bump some 〈.?.〉 while we talk about relationships
Take some fliks reminiscin on 〈lady sis?〉
Man it's crazy, broken hearts can really make us rich
It's crazy all the things we never got to do
Now i'm writting on a beat that you would probably use (probably use)
And the kids would fucking lose it if they only knew
We share our trauma that i never got to introduce
You were shaking when you told me but i wouldn't budge
Afraid that all that i might say 'cause i might fuck it up
I was scared of being labeled as another kid
I saw the darkness in our parents that adults would miss

〈chorus〉
I was scared to fall asleep alone, no
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
(it continues to get worse, man, depression is a *****) okay
〈verse 2〉
Let me tell you where i'm at now (at now)
Playing every song while i'm drinking i hope i pass out (pass out)
Quit telling me who i sound like, this the proper anthem for homies, i like the sound bright
Hey, pay the mortgage with an old guitar (old guitar)
We barely breathing 〈while they sleeping on who we are?〉 (who we are)
We are not the average kid, i guess
Singing melodies, these memories will pay the rent (wow)
See i was terrified to be myself
Just a kid, low self-esteem, afraid of mental health
My parents didn't want me why would someone
(silly me, silly me, i didn't need their help)

〈chorus〉
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
I was scared to fall asleep alone
