Avatar - Биография
Группа была создана в 2001 барабанщиком Джоном Альфредссоном. Avatar принимали участие в 5 европейских турах. Выступали на разогреве у Impaled Nazarene (май 2006), Evergrey (октябрь - ноябрь 2006), In Flames (март 2007), Obituary (январь - февраль 2008 г.) и Hardcore Superstar (октябрь - ноябрь 2009 г.). В марте и апреле 2010 года группа будет оказывать поддержку европейского турне Warrior Soul. Группа выступала на нескольких крупных музыкальных фестивалях в Швеции, например, Sweden Rock Festival, Arvikafestivalen и Storsjyran.
Schlacht, второй альбом Avatar был выпущен в октябре 2007 года. Schlacht достиг 27-го места в шведском чарте. Bjrn Gelotte из In Flames помог с гитарным соло в треке Letters From Neverend.
Третий альбом, одноименно названный Avatar, был выпущен в Швеции в ноябре 2009 и достиг 36-й позиции в национальном чарте. Большую часть года вплоть до выхода альбома они провели в студии. В январе 2010 года группа подписала контракт с Sony Music для выпуска последнего альбома в Германии и Швеции до 26 марта 2010.
