Spiral Architect - Биография

Spiral Architect - прогрессив-метал-группа из Осло, Норвегии. Эти парни в интервале 30 секунд играют больше нот, чем некоторые рок-группы играют за всю свою карьеру. Риффы сложные и слоистые, звук представляет собой смесь мелодичной гитары, техничного экстремального метала и классического прог-вокала. Безумно жёсткая ломаная джазовая импровизационная ритмика, очень мелодичные, но ещё более навороченные и, опять-таки, джазовые, как сами по себе, так и в удивительном сочетании друг с другом, гитары и вокал.

Долго группа не давала о себе знать, пока, наконец, после долгого затишья в декабре 1999 года не выходит их первый релиз, A Sceptic s Universe. Этот альбом завысил уже и без того высокую планку, которой достигли такие мэтры прогрессив-метала, как Dream Theater, и установил стандарты для техничного метала.

Особенно радует богатый опыт барабанщика, он был сессионным музыкантом в таких группах, как: Borknagar, Ihsahn, Vintersorg. Ну а вокалист - это отдельная тема, он прошёл школу под названием Arcturus, играя на клавишных. Удивительная математическая структура композиций, агрессивная и продуманная манера игры, забойный барабанный ритм - вот, что отличает Spiral Architect от других представителей данного жанра.
