Wild Flag - Биография

Wild Flag это американская супер группа состоящая из 4-х девушек. Участницы коллектива имеют достаточно длинную музыкальную карьеру за плечами. Кэри Браунштейн с играла в Excuse 17 а также более известной инди рок группе Sleater Kinney, там же компанию ей составляла барабанщица Джанет Вайсс, помимо этого игравшая еще в Quasi и была задействована при записях Bright Eyes, сольных работах Коннора Оберста и Stephen Malkmus (Pavement) and the Jicks. Еще одной участницей Sleater-Kinney была Мэри Таймони, которая помимо этого играла на гитаре в Autoclave, Helium и выпустила несколько сольных работ. А в 1999 Таймони с Браунштейн издали один ep в рамках своего сайд проекта The Spells. Ребекка Коул была барабанщицей The Minders.
Недавно коллектив выступил на фестивале SXSW, где стал одним из лучших открытий и уже получил лестные отзывы критиков. Единственным релизом группы пока является сингл «Future Crimes b/w Glass Tambourine». 13 cентября на Merge Records выйдет их дебютный альбом.
