Erinem - Biography
Erinem is an American rapper, from Tyler, Texas but musically influenced by Detroit hip-hop. Born Erin Emily Wheeler, Erinem gets her artist name from a combination of her first & middle name.
Erinem is often asked if her artist name has any relationship to hip hop legend, Eminem. She states that the similarity between her artist name & Eminem’s is a product of coincidence, not design. However, Eminem is the artist she is most often compared to. It is always a welcomed comparison.
Erinem is a member of American MENSA; paradoxically, after failing out of 9th grade she also went on to graduate from The New School, receiving an MFA. Since then, Erinem remains a devoted student of the game. Her attention cannot be divided.
Erinem is determined to make her mark as a skilled rapper, avid lyricist & seasoned producer. She & her co-producer Guy Bartov produce every song together, perfecting every mix. But Erinem always works solo when it comes to writing the lyrics, all of which she authors alone. She is a known perfectionist, & obsesses over every detail.
Erinem has seen tremendous growth with her single Iconic! her previous album, Y.B.A.L.A. received rave reviews by The Source, ThisIs50, HipHopWeekly & dozens of other publications. She also had the privilege of working with D12’s Bizarre who has a feature verse on the album.
Erinem stands by lyricism & hard work. When asked what drives her, it isn’t money or fame. Erinem says, “I just want to work with my peers.”
