Finlay Shakespeare - Face Value

Under the broken wave
Scattered amongst the sea
Tell me it ain't that way
Tell me not to take shape
Though miles away
I still see
And I should know better

Take me as you want me
In creature comfort delight
Still kept at the end of the day
Away from prying eyes
The terms of what you want to say
In every epithet you take, now
I'm still lying awake
I'm still lying awake

Stay at face value again
Stay at face value again
And run away
And run away
And run away

Stay at face value again
Stay at face value again
But I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
I'm wide awake
