〈intro: machine gun kelly〉
Kells, uh
I toast this for the team

〈verse 1: machine gun kelly〉
Uh, waiter bring another round, please
Bring that motherfucker back
A couple more, they like "get out, please
'cause y'all don't know how to act"
And i don't give a fuck, can i live?
'cause we be doin' too much shit
Just a couple of kids from eastside of the 216
Bummin' a dollar and a dream, real shit
Every day i wake up, higher than the night before
Blackin' out every night on tour
5 a.m. we jumpin' in the pool in our drawers 'til the cops come
Run, run, fuck the law, and i was born to be wild
Sеx, rock and roll, and weed piles
Runnin' from the old and senilе
Followin' my steps, then you walking the green mile
'cause trees in my pockets like my denim's a greenhouse
Lead my team town, tell me what's my age again
How many hours 'til i rage again?
This is the story of a young boy in the page we in
Say that he off chasin' fame again
And there he goes
Almost famous, bitch (bitch, bitch), yeah, kells
See mgk liveget tickets as low as $89〈chorus: machine gun kelly, alisa xayalith, alisa xayalith & thom powers〉
The bittersweet between my teeth, tryin' to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Uh, half naked and almost famous
Wild nights in all those places
I be half naked and almost famous, famous, uh
And when i get on, i ain't changin'
Tell the world, "lace up", kells

〈verse 2: machine gun kelly〉
Yeah, come rage with the machine, bitch (bitch)
Est the team, bitch (bitch)
Never got a college degree
Too busy raisin' hell like it was friday the 13th, bitch (bitch)
Fuck clothes and fuck hoes
Hundred dollars worth of munchies, truckloads
Eighty-nine cents slushy in the cup hold
Don't know where i'm goin', but we gone, what's home?
Maybe i'll just mapquest my dream, and it'll say the address was me
So what i really wanted all along's been camouflaged fatigue
I've been a pro, i just dodged the lead, california dreams
While we sittin' up under the cleveland weatherin'
Wishin' for heat, i guess i need to see the leather man
Uh, i just wanna be young forever, man
Roll the peter pan, light it up and let's hit neverland
Motherfucker, i'm gone
〈chorus: alisa xayalith, thom powers, alisa xayalith & thom powers〉
The bittersweet between my teeth, tryin' to find the in-between
Fall back in love eventually, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
(can you whisper?) the bittersweet between my teeth
(can you whisper?) tryin' to find the in-between
(can you whisper?) fall back in love eventually
(can you whisper?) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

〈outro: alisa xayalith, thom powers, alisa xayalith & thom powers〉
(can you whisper?) the bittersweet between my teeth
(can you whisper?) tryin' to find the in-between
(can you whisper?) fall back in love eventually
(can you whisper?) yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

mgk - Biography

Initially coming up as a lyrical rapper before crossing over into pop realms and making a switch to pop punk, a shift that led to Billboard dubbing him the “Crown Prince of Pop Punk”, Machine Gun Kelly (born Colson Baker on April 22, 1990) is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor from Cleveland, Ohio.

Traveling the world because of his parents' jobs before settling down in Cleveland, Machine Gun Kelly, commonly referred to as MGK, earned his stage name for his lightning-fast delivery while still in high school. His breakthrough came at the start of the 2010s with his party-rap hit “Wild Boy”, mixing his lightning-fast flow with hedonistic, party-ready lyrics over a bass-heavy beat. He would go on to release two more rap albums before making his crossover into pop.

His third album, bloom, marked a stylistic and commercial turning point for the Ohio rapper. Led by his smash hit single “Bad Things”, a pop-rap duet with, at-the-time, rising songstress Camila Cabello, the album saw his style pivot to pop and his sales increase accordingly. With “Bad Things” becoming a top five hit on the Hot 100 and reaching the top spot of the pop charts, as well as the album’s other hit, “At My Best”, nearly cracking the top 20 of the pop charts, the album became the most successful of Machine Gun Kelly’s career.

After a highly-publicized feud with Eminem and a critically-acclaimed rap-rock album in 2018 and 2019, respectively, Machine Gun Kelly started to become a household name in 2020 with the release of Tickets To My Downfall, reviving pop punk with a uniquely hip-hop-inspired spin. The approach proved successful, with the album’s single my ex’s best friend” staying on the Hot 100 chart for a full year. At the front of a revival of pop-punk and rock music in the mainstream, he followed up with 2022’s mainstream sellout, for which he earned a Grammy nomination, a first in his career.

To date, Machine Gun Kelly has certified sales of 25 million singles and 2.5 million albums.
