MISFIT - Biography
As a child, Joshua Gilbert was very fond of music. He sang at local churches around the Dallas, Texas area, started playing guitar and various other instruments, and then landed in the world of Hip-Hop. He listened to various artists, such as TobyMac, Lecrae, Trip Lee, Tedashii, Andy Mineo, and much more who influenced him. Now Josh picked out a stage name and is ready for the world to feel some heat! He isn’t the typical rapper you think. That’s why his stage name means MISFIT. He and his music wouldn’t fit into today’s secular society. He lives by one of his favorite bible verses, Romans 1:16.“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…”
MISFIT Productions is simply a small ministry that could use a head start with what the incorporation has so far. MISFIT Productions isn’t a record label and doesn’t accept demos or applications unless you are applying for a job as a worker. Our goal at MISFIT Productions is to show and express Christian faith through music, mostly Hip-hop and R&B. We take our work seriously and making sure we get our message through, whatever that may be, is very critical for what we stand for.
